Memorial at Aunt Mojdeh’s

Note from Amin’s aunt Mojdeh

Dear family and friends,

8On September 21st, I arranged a memorial in memory of our beloved Amin-jan in my home. It was a very spiritual and special evening, and we celebrated his memory and his life. Prayers were said and Writings were read and at all times, I felt the presence of Amin jan in the meeting. In a week it is going to be exactly one year since the passing of Amin-jan.  Needless to say, what a difficult year it has been.  For us there has been no refuge except the prayers, Baha’i Writings, and of course the support and kindness of the family and friends.

In 2008 Amin-jan left the comfort of his home and the western world to serve Baha’u’llah in China, and he dedicated his life to the field of service. Baha’u’llah sends His salutations and blessings to the people like Amin that don’t let the vain-imagings of this world deter them from their great purpose in life which is serving the Cause. In the medium obligatory prayer Baha’u’llah says

“Blessing and peace, salutation and glory, rest upon Thy loved ones, whom the changes and chances of the world have not deterred from turning unto Thee, and who have given their all in the hope of obtaining that which is with Thee.”

On Sunday October 6th we will remember Amin-jan and will say prayers for the progress of this pure soul at his resting place, as I am sure he will say prayers in the Abha Kingdom for us as well. If you are in Bellevue, please plan to join us at 2:00 PM.

Nearing 1st Anniversary

As we get close to the first anniversary of the passing of dear Amin, friends and family are getting ready to commemorate this difficult reminder of the void he has left us all.  During this time Amin’s parents will be traveling to the Baha’i World Centre in Haifa and Akka, Israel to pray and meditate as they remember Amin.  We know of several other memorials and prayer gatherings planned to honor Amin and celebrate his life and will share details here as they become available.

In the meantime, we hope that you enjoy this beautiful prayer for the departed by Yosi Mesbah, a talented musician living in Nashville, Tennessee.
